Our Commitment
Rehab Lab Atlanta is committed to making
rehablabatlanta.com
usable by people of all abilities. We build and maintain the site
with the goal of meeting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
(WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level.
How We Try to Support Accessibility
- The site uses standard HTML elements (headings, lists, buttons,
links) so it works well with screen readers and assistive
technologies.
- Every page is designed to scale cleanly from large desktop
screens down to small phones.
- Images include alternative text where the image conveys
meaningful information.
- Interactive elements such as the body-map hotspots can be
operated with a keyboard (Tab to move, Enter or Space to
activate) in addition to a mouse or touch.
- We aim for color combinations that meet readable contrast
levels for body text.
- Page structure uses landmarks (header, navigation, main
content, footer) so users can skip directly to the section they
need.
Known Limitations
We're honest about the parts of the site that aren't perfect yet.
Some areas depend on third-party embeds, and we don't fully
control their behavior:
- The Instagram feed on the homepage is provided by a
third-party widget; some elements inside it may not be fully
accessible to every assistive technology.
- The location map on the contact page is provided by
OpenStreetMap and may not be fully keyboard-friendly.
- The online booking flow lives on a separate scheduling
platform (Jane). Its accessibility is governed by that
platform.
If you run into an accessibility barrier anywhere on the site,
please tell us — we'd like to know about it and improve.
