Dr. Bensz developed a passion for sports and helping others from an early age. He participated in basketball, football, and track in high school and earned a state medal in the long jump at the Indiana High School State Meet before continuing his track and field career at Bethel College.
After experiencing multiple injuries during his athletic career, Dr. Bensz became interested in back pain, injury rehabilitation, and helping others stay active. He later transferred to Grand Valley State University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Clinical Exercise Science in 2022 and served as a coaching intern with the track and field team.
Dr. Bensz earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2025. During his clinical training, he completed a clerkship at the Des Moines VA Medical Center and a preceptorship at Meyer Chiropractic and Performance, where he refined his skills in rehabilitation and performance-based care. Throughout chiropractic school, he was actively involved with Rehab2Performance (R2P) and continuing education focused on movement-based rehabilitation.
Dr. Bensz enjoys working out, kayaking, wake surfing, and hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains. He wants to help you overcome the obstacles keeping you from the life you enjoy!
